Most importantly you should be a pleasant and cheerful person. You should also be fit and a non-smoker. Although I smoke a little it would be unfair to somebody else in the house if two people were smoking. You should also be able to speak and understand basic English. You must hold a clean driving licence valid in the UK and be at least 19 years old for insurance purposes.
Many of the people who have worked for me have either just finished university, or are waiting to go to university and want to take a year off in England to improve their English. Others already have a job but feel they need a change so come over to work for me to enjoy living in a different country and try something new. And as it's in the caring field then most people who apply are female.
The secret of success lies in everyone in my house (me and my two care assistants) getting on well together. A lot of people who have worked for me in the past still visit me and I'm in contact with many others. Most people regard their time with me as a most valuable and rewarding experience.
